Where the page lives
From the GC GO menu on the left, open Settings and click My Settings. The page opens with the header My Settings and a row of tabs across the top. You’ll only see the tabs that apply to your account and your school’s setup — commonly:
- Video
- Calling
- Text Messages
- Notifications
- Permissions
The Email tab is where you connect your inbox and shape how your outbound email looks and behaves. It has a few sections:
Email Sync — Connect your school email (Outlook or Gmail) so you can read and reply to constituent emails right inside GC GO. Click Connect Email Account and you’ll be sent to a secure connection page hosted by Nylas. Once you finish, your account status moves automatically from pending to active.
Heads up: You can only connect an address on a domain your admin has authorized. If you see a note that no domains are set up yet, ask your admin to add your email domain first.
To disconnect later, use the Remove column in the accounts table. You’ll be asked to confirm, since you’d need to re-authenticate to send email again.
Email Aliases — Add other addresses you want to send from when composing in GC GO. Click Add Email Alias, and once added, use Set as Default to pick which one is used automatically. (An address with a completely separate login usually can’t be added as an alias.)
Example Emails — Share a few of your own emails to teach GC GO’s AI your tone and voice, so AI-generated drafts sound more like you. Click Create Example Email to add one.
Contact Reports — A single checkbox: “Automatically check the ‘Create contact report for this email’ checkbox by default.” Turn it on if you want every email you send to default to also logging a contact report.
Email Signature — Enter the standard signature you want appended to emails sent through GC GO, then click Save Signature.
Video
The Video tab controls how your video landing pages are branded.
School Logo — Choose how your logo appears at the top of your video pages:
- Include your school’s default logo,
- Upload your own custom logo, or
- Show no logo at all.
Page Background — Choose a Custom Image (upload your own) or a Custom Color (pick the color) for the landing-page background.
Click Save Video Settings when you’re done.
Calling
If your school uses calling, the Calling tab is where you set up your number. What you see depends on your school’s calling mode:
- Pass-Through calling: You start the call in your browser and GC GO bridges it through your office or mobile phone. Enter your Pass Through Number — the number the constituent sees the call coming from — and click Save. (There’s also a read-only GC GO Number GC GO uses to bridge the call.)
- VOIP calling: You make browser-based calls from a GC number. Enter a Preferred Area Code and click Create New Calling Number to provision it. The same number is also used for outbound texting.
Note: If pass-through calling isn’t enabled for your account and you’d like it, reach out to giftofficer@givecampus.com.
Text Messages
If your school uses texting, the Text Messages tab lets you provision your texting number. Enter a Preferred Area Code and click Create New Texting Number. This becomes your GC GO texting number for outbound messages.
Notifications
The Notifications tab is where you decide which in-app alerts you receive and how they behave. It has two parts.
General Settings
Set how long notifications stick around before they clear themselves: “Dismiss notifications that are greater than ___ days old.” The default is 30 days. Adjust the number and click Save.
Enable or Disable Notifications
A table of every notification type, showing its Status (Enabled or Disabled), whether it’s Required by your school, and an Action to configure it. Click the Configure Settings (pencil) icon on a row to open its settings.
If a notification is locked: Your admin has marked it Required for all Gift Officers, so you can’t turn it off. That’s expected — required alerts are ones your school wants everyone to see.
Notification Alerts a gift officer when… New Constituent Gift “…a constituent in your portfolio has a gift imported.” New Online Gift “…a constituent in your portfolio makes a gift online.” New Event Registration (GC Events) “…a constituent in your portfolio registers for an event.” Constituent Interaction “…a constituent in your portfolio has not had an interaction in a certain period of time. The time period will be set by the gift officer, with a default of 180 days.” Draft Contact Report “…you have left a contact report in a draft state. The time period after which you are notified will be set by the gift officer, with a default of 2 hours.” Upcoming Gift Anniversary “…a constituent in your portfolio has an upcoming gift anniversary for their most recent gift. The time period ahead of the gift anniversary will be set by the gift officer, with a default of 45 days.” Upcoming Birthday “…a constituent in your portfolio has an upcoming birthday. The time period ahead of the birthday will be set by the gift officer, with a default of 7 days.” Constituent Visited By Non-Primary Gift Officer “…a constituent in your portfolio is confirmed for a visit from another gift officer.” Email Response “…a constituent replies to an email.” Unread Text Message “…your have an unread text message.”
These are in-app notifications — they appear in the notification bell inside GC GO.
Permissions
The Permissions tab holds a couple of personal defaults:
- Contact Reports — the same “Automatically check the ‘Create contact report for this email’ checkbox by default” option found on the Email tab.
- Cadence Settings (if your school uses it) — “Automatically check the ‘Link Cadence to Plan’ checkbox by default.”
Click Save Settings to keep your choices.
