Why can't I move a gift between a Giving Form and a Social Fundraising Campaign?

Gifts can only be moved within a compatible type. A gift made via a Giving Form can be moved only to another Giving Form. Gifts made on a Social Fundraising Campaign or Standalone Giving Form can be moved to any other Social Fundraising Campaign or Standalone Giving Form; the destination dropdown will display both options.

Where to find the move option

Go to Online Giving > Gift Management, find the gift, and open its details page to access the move option.

Why the destination dropdown may look incomplete

The dropdown shows only the corresponding type. If the gift was made on a Giving Form, it lists only other forms. If the gift was made on a Social Fundraising Campaign, it shows only available campaigns.

Workarounds when you need the gift to appear on a different type

For a Giving Form gift, record the amount as an offline gift on the desired campaign. Moving a gift from a campaign to a Giving Form isn’t supported.
