Yes. Your school can customize the GiveCampus DAFpay confirmation email. Go to Online Giving → School-Level Settings → DAFpay → Email Confirmation. This opens the DAFpay Confirmation Email editor; it is separate from a campaign or giving form's standard confirmation email.
How do I replace a former employee's name or signature?
- Open Online Giving → School-Level Settings → DAFpay → Email Confirmation.
- In Email Content, locate the sign-off in the email body and replace the former employee's name, title, and any outdated contact details with the approved wording.
- Check Sender Name as well. The sender name displayed in the inbox is a separate field from the signature written inside the email. Changing one does not necessarily change the other.
- Update Reply-to Email Address and Subject Line if needed.
- Click Save, then Send Test Email to review the saved message and confirm the signature and sender details.
What can be edited?
The editor supports Sender Name, Reply-to Email Address, Subject Line, and the email body, including its sign-off. Use the merge fields offered by the DAFpay editor when inserting donor or grant details.
Sender Email Address is shown as a disabled, read-only field in this editor. Do not confuse that fixed sending address with the editable Sender Name or Reply-to Email Address. An uneditable sending-address field does not mean the email body or signer cannot be changed.
Why can't I see or edit this email?
The DAFpay settings require permission to manage the school's financial settings. Permission to edit a particular campaign or giving form's emails does not by itself grant access to this school-level editor. Ask an authorized school administrator to make the update or review your permissions. If the menu is still unavailable, contact GiveCampus Support with the school and message details.
Does this update all campaign and form confirmation emails?
This template is shared at the school level for GiveCampus DAFpay confirmations across the school's campaigns and giving forms. It is not a separate template for each form. Saving it affects subsequent emails using this template; it does not rewrite emails already delivered.
Other confirmation types, recurring-gift messages, and externally sent DAF-provider emails are separate. Changing the DAFpay template does not update every email signed by the same former employee. If another message still has an outdated signer, identify the exact email so the correct template can be reviewed.
Suggested answer for a partner
Yes—you can update the DAFpay confirmation email directly. Go to Online Giving → School-Level Settings → DAFpay → Email Confirmation, change the name and title in the email body's sign-off, and check Sender Name and Reply-to Email Address for outdated details. Save and send a test email. If you cannot access that page, an administrator with permission to manage school financial settings can make the change.
