Email notifications have separate controls across GiveCampus. Changing Online Giving subscriptions does not turn off every email from Events, Outreach, Gift Officer, Wealth Analytics, or Volunteer Management. An in-app notification setting is not automatically an email setting.
Events: administrator registration alerts
Open the event's Email Settings → Notifications. The checkbox controls administrator notifications of new registrations, edited registrations, No RSVPs, and waitlist updates. Under Select Administrator(s), remove a person to stop these messages for that person, or clear the checkbox to stop these notices for everyone. Save the event settings.
This setting is not paid-registrations-only and does not control registrant confirmation emails. Event contact name/address controls the sender display and reply-to details, not the staff recipient list. Do not disable guest confirmations to quiet an administrator's inbox or assume this checkbox suppresses separate payment-dispute/refund notifications.
Outreach and texting
For administrator unread text and opt-out alerts, go to Online Giving → Administrators → Notifications → New Text Message Notifications, where available. This is separate from recipient marketing-email subscriptions. Being a super administrator does not automatically subscribe a person. Unread-message checks are queued after about five minutes and can be skipped if someone has already read the message; delivery is not guaranteed at an exact time. Gift Officer conversations use a separate path.
For recipients who want to stop school Outreach emails, use the unsubscribe/preferences link in the relevant email. Topic preferences and school-email suppression are distinct from administrator alerts. Removing someone from one send's audience does not create a standing unsubscribe. Do not assume an Outreach unsubscribe suppresses receipts or tiered-page approval requests.
Personal account: social preferences and campaign updates
In the signed-in account's Account area, find Update Notifications. The Social options include immediate or weekly follower notifications, Facebook-friend notifications where offered, GiveCampus blog messages, and whether followers are emailed when the account owner gives. Choose the desired options and click Update my preferences.
Under Campaigns Supported and Campaigns Advocated For, use Unsubscribe or Resubscribe for campaign updates. These controls do not disable school administrator alerts, tiered landing page requests to publish, or advocate incentive alerts. Use the message-specific link where provided; not every email has an unsubscribe option.
Gift Officer: notification preferences and task digest emails
In My Settings → Notifications, review the available notification types and use Configure Settings to enable or disable optional notifications, then save. School administrators configure Required or Optional under the school's Notification Settings. Gift Officers cannot disable notifications marked Required, although some allow other settings to be adjusted. Dismissing an in-app notification or changing its age-based dismissal does not necessarily stop email.
For daily task emails, the school-level Task Settings → Task Digest Emails control has Enable Task Digest Emails, a send time in the school's displayed time zone, and Save Settings. This is a separate email schedule; do not describe every notification toggle as a task-digest unsubscribe or promise an individual digest opt-out from that school-level control.
Wealth Analytics: email subscriptions and notification rules
In Wealth Analytics → Administrators, edit the administrator's Email Notifications checkbox for the applicable wealth-screening completion notifications. This is separate from Online Giving Gift Notifications.
In Wealth Analytics Notifications, create or edit a rule, choose its criteria, and select Notification Method: Email or In-App, then save. Use the rule's Pause Notifications or Resume Notifications action to stop or restart that rule. Pausing one rule does not disable every wealth-related message or other rules. Access depends on the school's subscription and the user's permissions.
Volunteer Management: role notifications, gifts, and administrator digests
Use the volunteer role's What notifications this role receives controls for role-specific notification permissions. In Settings → Gift Configurations, review the separate automated gift notification settings for volunteers and volunteer managers. Email Notifications and on-site notifications are separate controls; select the relevant gift criteria and intended audience.
Where available, Manage Administrators includes Import Run Failure Notification, Digest Email Notifications, and New Text Message Notifications. A digest changes delivery for supported notification categories; it is not a global stop-all-email switch. Turning a digest off can return supported notices to individual delivery rather than silence them. System-wide and unit-specific Volunteer Management configurations differ, so use the controls actually shown.
If the requested message is outside these controls, give Support its subject and workflow. Do not instruct partners to change internal feature flags or promise a schoolwide system-email shutdown through an unrelated checkbox.
What cannot be disabled through these preferences?
Tiered landing page publish-request emails and campaign administrator advocate-incentive alerts have no separate email opt-out. Required Gift Officer notifications cannot be disabled by the individual Gift Officer. Account and Outreach unsubscribes are not global transactional-email opt-outs. Template editing is not a guaranteed way to suppress a message: some workflows fall back to standard content.
