Permission to create custom reports

Creating custom report layouts is included in Superadmin, Fundraising Superadmin, Gift Management Admin, Finance Admin, or School-Level Settings Admin. Reporting Admin can run supported reports, but that role alone does not include creating custom report layouts.

Open Online Giving → Reporting → Custom Reports to create or manage a column layout. Run a saved layout from Online Giving → Reporting → Donations; running that export requires a donations-reporting role, such as Superadmin, Fundraising Superadmin, Gift Management Admin, Finance Admin, or Reporting Admin. A School-Level Settings Admin can configure report settings but does not gain donation-export access solely from that role.

A Superadmin or Fundraising Superadmin can review the person under Online Giving → Administrators, open their administrator record, and use Role(s) → Add / Add Another → select the role → Update Role(s). Roles contain fixed capabilities; partners select roles rather than turning individual permissions within a role on or off. Also review the assigned campaigns/forms or groups for actions scoped to those records. Roles are additive, so review every assigned role before narrowing access. Choose roles for the person’s responsibilities; assigning a broader role also grants its other capabilities.
