An authorized administrator can review the administrator Notifications page and the affected colleague’s Gift Notifications setting. Recurring Subscriptions and Pledges, deposit notifications and other categories are separate where enabled. Confirm the colleague’s administrator email, role and access scope as well as the desired category.
Staff gift alerts are distinct from donor receipts. Do not change the donor’s payer email just to send an administrator copies. If an enabled notification stops arriving, support must inspect the relevant gift/template, eligibility, notification record and delivery result. A checked preference is not proof of delivery, and receiving an alert does not itself authorize access to the linked record.
Restrict a recipient to selected campaigns or forms
The ordinary gift-notification calculation combines schoolwide administrators subscribed to gift notifications with the individual campaign/form's selected recipients. Unchecking a person on one form therefore does not suppress that form's alerts if they still have a schoolwide subscription.
For a person who should receive only selected campaign/form alerts, review the broad Gift Notifications subscription and then select the intended recipients in each relevant campaign/form Notifications area. Save and verify the result. The form interface also exposes Additional recipients; enter the email associated with that staff member's confirmed GiveCampus account. The recipient lookup excludes guest/unconfirmed accounts. A typed email alone is not proof the person will receive an alert.
For colleagues who should receive all forms except one, review both the schoolwide subscription and explicit selections on the desired forms rather than treating an unchecked box as an exclusion rule. Staff alerts remain distinct from donor receipts, and notification receipt does not grant access to the linked gift. Recurring notifications have separate recipient paths.
Deposit notices are a separate subscription
Deposit notifications use the administrator's Deposit Notifications subscription, separately from gift notifications and assigned permissions. In the administrator notification table, enable the appropriate deposit checkbox where the school exposes it. Matching a former employee's role does not copy their email subscription. The Stripe and PayPal deposit notification paths select fundraising administrators with that subscription enabled. Verify the intended confirmed account and actual deposit/message type before diagnosing delivery; changing it does not resend historical notices automatically.
Chargeback recipients and priority
Donation disputed and charged-back messages use the project’s gift-notification users: school donation-email subscribers plus project notification recipients, restricted to confirmed non-guest users. Add a recipient at the appropriate project scope, or subscribe at school scope for all relevant gift notices. These settings also affect ordinary gift email; there is no separate chargeback-only priority/elevation control. Institutions can apply their own mailbox rules to flag these messages.
Gift amount thresholds for staff alerts
The ordinary staff gift-recipient calculation combines school Gift Notifications subscribers and selected campaign/form recipients; it has no per-recipient minimum gift amount condition. Configure the desired recipient scope, but do not assume an above-X amount filter in that control. A separate approved reporting or mailbox workflow may be needed, and recurring alerts have separate paths.
