Understand data requirements for Smart Ask Amounts and Dynamic Ask Amounts

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

First identify the exact page and feature you are using. The segment-personalization readiness check looks for school-level imported first name, last name and preferred email; a segment CSV alone is not proof those fields were populated in the school data records. Smart Ask Amounts has additional giving-history requirements, but those are not automatically the requirements for Dynamic Ask Amounts.

The Dynamic Ask settings setting returns the enabled setting and form-override count, while access depends on school feature availability and settings/form permissions. A separate Dynamic Ask calculation process uses linked online contribution history from the preceding five years, excludes matches/challenges, and can return without generating amounts when it finds no eligible gifts. These distinct checks do not establish why a specific historical “Data Not Uploaded” banner appears. Collect the exact page, completed import and affected form/person, then have support check mappings, feature settings and processing results; do not expect that another upload or a fixed overnight wait will clear it.
