Why event follow-up is not automatically checked-in-only

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

The event sequence creation form chooses Event Registration as the initial recipient source for follow-up and reminder sequences. That source returns registrant records and does not automatically apply the Checked In attendee condition. A person can register without attending, and a registrant is not necessarily every individual guest.

A separate attendee condition exists for event outreach. If only people who attended should receive a message, verify a supported recipient source/condition that explicitly uses check-in and inspect its actual recipients before sending. Do not assume renaming a sequence Follow-up changes its audience, or promise that every existing sequence exposes the same editing controls.
