Understand channel-wide solicitation restrictions

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

The automatic code filter selects school solicitation codes marked disables Outreach for email, or disables texting for texts. It does not branch by whether an email is a newsletter versus solicitation, or by its unsubscribe topic. Consequently, assigning a different topic does not override a blocking solicitation code. Review the school's consent policy and supported data/configuration workflow with support before changing a global code; do not bypass a restriction by uploading the same people differently.
