Historical email opt-outs are not topic audience uploads

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

Creating an Unsubscribe Topic does not import contacts into it. The topic controls have no self-service mapping/upload of historical recipient opt-outs. Keep the prior system’s opt-out list as an explicit exclusion in each relevant planned outreach while authorized support reviews migration of the persistent preferences to the intended topic/school scope. Do not treat a segment, solicit code, or one message’s exclusion as proof that a durable topic unsubscribe was created. Verify the migrated preference scope before relying on it for future sends.
