Recipient-history statuses and reason detail

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

Failed means generation/submission/sending failed; Bounced records a bounce event. Excluded means no sending attempt was made for that recipient, such as an exclusion filter or unsubscribe; inspect the exclusion reason. The recipient-history CSV prefers the delivered-email state and falls back to recipient state when no delivery record is present. Delivery states also include pending, submitted, sent, received, opened, clicked, unsubscribed and spam_reported; received is an incoming-email state. States have precedence, so this column is not a full chronological event log. Submitted/sent does not prove the recipient read the message. The Bounce Details dialog lists addresses, without SMTP codes or hard/soft classification. Support must inspect delivery events for a specific bounce cause before recommending record changes.
