Recipient clients control new-tab behavior

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

Email links may open a browser tab/window or an in-app browser depending on the recipient's email client and browser. A target attribute does not force uniform behavior or guarantee the message remains open. Do not assume an Outreach setting controls every recipient's tabs; use clear links and test representative clients.
