Failed versus Bounced

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

A recipient marked Failed could not be generated or sent; an email-delivery failure can mean it could not be submitted to the provider or the provider could not send it. The provider-event processing records dropped messages as Failed and bounce events as Bounced. These labels alone do not identify the exact address or content problem. Check delivery events and errors before deciding whether to retry or alter the recipient.
