Prepare data and operate Smart Appeals

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

Confirm access to the intended Smart Appeals type and administrator permissions. Anniversary recommendations depend on school-level constituent/gift imports: maintain stable constituent identifiers, current contact/restriction data and gift dates, amounts and designations. In the current workflow, a qualifying imported gift falls in the 11–13-month anniversary window; later online/imported gifts affect eligibility and conversion. A platform gift alone is not the anniversary qualification source. Recurring renewal is separately entitled. Review the donor table, approved templates, batch audience and active giving destination before sending. Personalized links can prefill donor details; they do not charge automatically. Keep imports and restrictions current, and inspect solicitation, unsubscribe and conversion reports. Exact availability and sending schedule require the saved configuration; conversion is not proof of click-through attribution.
