Exclude a text recipient when search misses them

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

In the legacy recipient-list action, search filters the email address even for a text outreach. A last name, mobile number or external ID therefore need not find a visible text recipient. The separate bulk-selection action handles search differently, so confirm which screen is in use before treating every recipient search as identical.

Locate and verify the intended recipient, then use that outreach's remove/exclude action where permitted. It records an outreach-specific exclusion using the recipient's email and phone and changes the row to excluded, preserving the exclusion across regeneration. This is not deletion of the constituent from the school. Verify the excluded status before the send; if the record cannot be located, ask support to help identify it rather than selecting a similarly named person.
