Disable pairing notifications and understand the volunteer test-email tradeoff

For the established (legacy) Volunteer Management portal. Access and available actions depend on your volunteer or administrator role.

In the VMS unit's settings, expand General and use Disable VMS System Notification Emails to Volunteers, then save. The setting's help text specifically covers automatic pairing/unpairing messages, including one message per constituent when adding/removing a role.

The same setting disables the volunteer send-test-to-me message. A still-visible test checkbox is not proof that its email will be delivered. To restore that test capability, uncheck the setting; doing so also restores the affected system messages. No separate test-only exception is established by this control. Record a request to hide/disable the misleading checkbox as product feedback, without promising a release.

This is not a universal stop-all-email switch. This setting applies only to specific system notifications. Pending-gift notices and ordinary volunteer constituent outreach have distinct paths/settings; verify the message type before recommending suppression.
