Understand Composer snippet permissions and template-content failures

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

Snippet/Saved Content creation and editing are gated by the enabled interface and Outreach template permissions. They are not automatically available to every user. Creating shared content requires the appropriate Create Outreach Template permission or administrator access; editing requires the appropriate Update Outreach Template permission. Ask your school administrator to confirm your assigned roles if these controls are unavailable.

Composer Saved Content and legacy HTML snippets use separate feature gates. Saved Content created in Composer should be edited through Composer; the legacy HTML edit path is restricted to avoid desynchronizing its content. Use the supported composer control rather than attempting to overwrite its HTML in the older editor.

When Create Outreach opens a blank legacy editor from a new-editor template, support should inspect the template type/ID, saved editor content, school composer configuration and created outreach. Preserve the original and do not save an empty replacement as a troubleshooting step. A template, its copied outreach and its snippets are separate objects.
