Suppress a constituent from future texts using a solicit code

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

Use the school-level constituent import to associate the institution's no-text solicit code with the correct external constituent ID. In School Dashboard → Settings, locate Solicit Codes and select the code's GC Texting checkbox, then save. GC Outreach is the separate email restriction; selecting only that checkbox does not disable texting.

Refresh/review the text audience and confirm the recipient is excluded with the relevant solicit-code reason before sending. Outreach applies restrictions through linked constituent records, so validate external-ID/person matching for uploaded phone numbers. This is a school constituent restriction, not proof that an unrelated or unmatched phone record is globally opted out, and it is distinct from a recipient replying STOP.
