Send a Smart Appeals email test to yourself

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

1. Open Smart Appeals → Anniversary Donors, select the intended donor(s), and choose Email Selected to open the email batch.
2. Select the appropriate template/project and review the batch subject, content and Email Preview. An inactive project can disable the send controls; select an eligible active project where required.
3. Click Send Test To Me on the batch screen. It sends only to the signed-in administrator, with sample merge values. It does not send to the selected donor audience or establish that a real donor's prefilled link is correct.
4. Review the received email before using the separate Send Email control for the real batch. The test is queued; a click is not proof of inbox delivery.

This test lives on the email batch screen, not the Smart Appeals template editor. It is also separate from testing a Smart Appeals text.
