Annual recurring donors and date-based online gift exclusions

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

The Online Gifts filter selects qualifying contribution records and applies its date range to the gift's creation date date, using the school's time zone and inclusive beginning/end-of-day boundaries. It does not automatically exclude every active recurring donor regardless of the selected dates. A qualifying installment in the range can match; merely having a future annual installment does not create an in-range gift.

Choose the intended exclusion rule deliberately: donors with qualifying gifts during the period and donors with active recurring commitments are different populations. Check the actual installment and filter result before extending a date range or assuming future gifts count. This rule is specific to the Online Gifts filter, not every imported-gift or segment condition.
