Two volunteers share a constituent assignment

For the established (legacy) Volunteer Management portal. These steps differ from the newer Volunteer Management interface. Administrator controls require the appropriate school or volunteer-management permissions.

Yes, the established VMS supports multiple volunteers assigned to the same constituent when Shared Assignments is enabled for the relevant unit/context. Without it, an assignment to another volunteer can make the constituent unselectable. Confirm enablement with support before the upload, and review role settings for seeing or messaging other assigned volunteers; shared assignment does not automatically grant every cross-volunteer permission.
