Geographic maps of volunteer assignments

For the established (legacy) Volunteer Management portal. These steps differ from the newer Volunteer Management interface. Administrator controls require the appropriate school or volunteer-management permissions.

The VMS reporting interface offers assignment exports but no built-in geographic heat map of assignments by region/address. Campaign donor heat maps are fundraising visualizations and should not be presented as assignment maps. Geographic assignment analysis requires an authorized export and an approved external analysis workflow, after checking that the permitted export includes the necessary assignment/address fields.
