Build, upload, refresh, and export audience segments

For school administrators using GiveCampus Outreach. Controls can differ between the classic email editor and the newer Composer editor.

How to use

Open Outreach → Segments. Choose the Custom, Prebuilt, or Smart area offered to your account. Upload a segment or use the builder if available. For a built segment, define the intended conditions, inspect the member list/preview, and refresh or export members through the provided controls.

Rules

In the application, builder access depends on the query-built-segments feature or the appropriate Outreach product tier. Upload is exposed separately. New query-built segments use dynamic refresh policy. Smart/predictive segments have configuration, prediction-run, and status operations; some must be configured before predictions run.

Troubleshooting

Confirm that the expected constituent data has been imported and that generation/refresh has completed. A saved condition is not proof that membership has finished updating. Do not describe a prediction as a guaranteed future gift or assume that a prebuilt or uploaded segment refreshes like a query-built one.
