For the established (legacy) Volunteer Management portal. These steps differ from the newer Volunteer Management interface. Administrator controls require the appropriate school or volunteer-management permissions.
Open Volunteer Management → Settings, then expand the relevant section:
| Customer question | Section and control |
|---|---|
| Change portal logo, color or names | Branding and Naming: school logo, favicon, primary color, sidebar scheme, volunteer/staff terminology and dashboard names |
| Change sender name for volunteer/staff emails | Branding and Naming → Sender name; the displayed fallback is Ambassador Portal when blank |
| Change statistic labels or sample names in template previews | Labels, including Email Template Sample Merge Tokens; sample values are preview examples, not edits to actual constituent names |
| Choose constituent search result columns | Search → Search table columns; Name was required/disabled in the screen |
| Make active resources available | Resources → Display Resources to Volunteers, plus the individual resource's active state and applicable audience |
| Display donor/dollar class goals | Class Goals → Enable Class Goals, with the separate class-year goal table |
| Review login methods | Authentication; review the available email/password, Facebook and SAML options; an administrator must confirm whether SAML is configured |
| Configure default partial/full record datapoints | Constituent Records; the page specifically applies to administrators and volunteers without a role; review role-specific settings separately |
The branding, labels, search, resources, class-goal and authentication sections have Save Settings; constituent datapoints have Save Datapoints. Do not treat search-column selection as a grant of access to every underlying record field. No settings, goals, login methods or datapoint visibility were changed.
