Automatically insert the volunteer’s advocate link in a Legacy template

For the established (legacy) Volunteer Management portal. These steps differ from the newer Volunteer Management interface. Administrator controls require the appropriate school or volunteer-management permissions.

In the legacy VMS template editor, choose the intended eligible campaign and insert the personal advocate link token, $PERSONAL_CAMPAIGN_LINK$, using the token button. Set Personal Advocate Link Text if a linked phrase is preferred, save, and test as the intended volunteer. The send substitution uses the template’s campaign and that volunteer’s user to generate their link; if either is missing, the token is removed. This is different from the Outreach recipient-specific $Advocate_URL[campaign_id]$ token and does not require volunteers to paste their link manually. Available campaigns depend on the school and role advocate-link settings.
