Multiple groups of VMS constituents

For the established (legacy) Volunteer Management portal. These steps differ from the newer Volunteer Management interface. Administrator controls require the appropriate school or volunteer-management permissions.

Yes, VMS can contain multiple constituent audiences such as parents and leadership donors. Import them with stable unique constituent identifiers and the mapped affiliation/custom data needed to distinguish groups, then configure the appropriate role/segment/assignment scope. They need not be separate databases, and a person may belong to several audiences. Confirm whether your import is a full replacement or incremental before sending separate group files; do not assume each partial upload safely preserves omitted people.
