For the established (legacy) Volunteer Management portal. These steps differ from the newer Volunteer Management interface. Administrator controls require the appropriate school or volunteer-management permissions.
How to use
Open Manage Volunteers and use its Volunteers, Roles, Assignments, Constituents, Cohorts, and school-labeled handler areas. Create/edit volunteers and roles, inspect role data points and constituent preview, and review assignment requests before approving or rejecting/removing them.
Assignment tools include filters, modification, selectability changes, bulk unpairing, and unpair-all actions. Confirm the intended role/unit and selection before any bulk change. Role cloning is a distinct action and should be followed by a review of copied settings.
Troubleshooting
A volunteer registered in one unit/role may not see another role’s records. Use constituent preview to inspect the intended visibility. Do not assume role assignment, constituent selectability, and an actual volunteer-constituent assignment are equivalent.
Scope
The interface can use customized names for volunteers and handlers. Exact allocation limits, approvals, and cohort rules require school settings; escalate rather than inventing a universal assignment policy.
