For the established (legacy) Volunteer Management portal. These steps differ from the newer Volunteer Management interface. Administrator controls require the appropriate school or volunteer-management permissions.
Communication with Volunteers contains staff-to-volunteer email, its Email Templates, Announcements, Messages and Tasks. The email list separates Registered and Unregistered volunteers, with an All Volunteers/Volunteers I Manage view, date-range metrics, filters and recipient selection. Resources for Volunteers → Email Templates is a different area for templates volunteers use with constituents.
For an announcement, open Communication with Volunteers → Announcements → Create New Announcement. Set title/content, intended roles and start/end display dates. The form initially selected Show To All Roles. Video upload is available after creation. These dates control when the announcement is shown; they are not email-send scheduling controls.
For a resource, open Resources for Volunteers → Resources → New Resource. Choose a category and name, supply content, and choose all volunteers or conditions based on affiliation, class year or role. Active? controls whether it is shown. The editor supports files/images; its guidance says to create the resource before uploading video. Merely creating a category or writing content does not confirm that the resource is active and visible to the intended audience.
Manage Volunteers → Confidentiality Agreements → New Confidentiality Agreement separates the agreement name, checkbox language and full agreement language. Frequency options shown were once, every login, or every 30/90/180/365 days. Its Active notice says activation makes the agreement available to all volunteers. The global Confidentiality Agreements setting is under Settings → General. Use the institution's approved agreement wording and intended audience/frequency.
