Assignment import says Volunteer does not exist

For the established (legacy) Volunteer Management portal. These steps differ from the newer Volunteer Management interface. Administrator controls require the appropriate school or volunteer-management permissions.

A rejected row could not be matched to an active volunteer in this school. The assignment importer first tries volunteer_id against the volunteer’s external ID, then falls back to volunteer_email; it does not create a missing volunteer. Open the affected-row report, correct the identifiers/email or import/reactivate the intended volunteer through the authorized workflow, then retry the corrected assignment rows. A constituent or GiveCampus user existing alone is not an active school volunteer. A notice about rejected rows does not necessarily mean the entire file failed.
