Event publication state and API results

The event-list API applies an event-state restriction only when the caller supplies that filter. Registration retrieval is scoped to the school and event ID, without an active-publication prerequisite. Therefore, unpublishing or cancelling does not itself remove an event from an unfiltered API integration. Check integration state filters when excluding test events. Event activity objects include their own activity ID. Existing registrations can prevent unpublishing, and cancellation has separate consequences; filter test data rather than assuming cancellation erases it.
