Waiting for a replacement card and failure reminders

Eligible failed renewals are retried within the configured five-day overdue window, with additional schedule, status and processor eligibility rules; this is not a promise of exactly five emails. Failure notifications are keyed to the last charge attempt and renewal reminders are not sent for subscriptions with no successful charges. The subscription editor has Next Payment and schedule controls, not a per-donor reminder-mute option. An authorized date change can defer billing, but it changes the payment schedule and is not merely communication suppression. Ask Support to inspect this donor’s next payment, failure state and sent notifications while they await the replacement card; do not cancel the gift solely to silence reminders.
