International country, state and postal code fields

This article covers gifts made through GiveCampus. Payment and recurring-gift options depend on the institution and the form.

On the standard donation form, select the actual country in Country; Japan is not a U.S. state option. Choosing a non-U.S. country hides the U.S. state selector and removes its required flag. Postal-code visibility/required behavior follows the selected country's configuration. The postal-code field accepts text and specifically displays Canadian formatting guidance such as A9A 9A9; use the donor's real billing postal code.

If Country is missing, the U.S. state remains required, or a different/embedded form behaves differently, support should inspect that form's field configuration and browser behavior. Do not enter a false U.S. address to bypass validation. The recurring-gift donor-information editor is a separate surface with its own state/country fields; this donation-form behavior does not provide a fix for a recurring card-update decline.

International donor addresses and payment eligibility

Giving forms support donors entering international addresses; select the appropriate country so the form applies its country-specific address/postal requirements. Payment must still use a method accepted by the school’s configured processor and form, in the form’s configured currency. This is not a promise that every country, card or wallet is accepted, or that the donor can choose any currency.
