Existing gift fee preferences and stored fund codes

Changing a checkout form's fee opt-in/opt-out setting does not add a fee-election checkbox to the existing-subscription editor. Do not assume that recurring donors merely verifying their information will see the new checkout preference. Ask support about a supported donor-authorized change instead of treating a larger base amount as restored fee coverage.

Designation selections store a copy of the fund's administrative code. Saving a designation selection refreshes its current attributes, but changing a school-level code does not prove all historical gift snapshots were rewritten. Inspect the actual report field and affected subscription, save the donor-authorized selection through the available editor if appropriate, and verify future allocations. Do not assume historical installment records change automatically; also review the fee reset described above.
