In the recurring-subscription edit flow, saving designation selection data can call the subscription update notifications for both administrators and the donor. The donor notice goes to the original contribution's payer email, and these notifications are not sent for missing or ended subscriptions. Some edits to donor information do not send subscription-change notifications, so not every administrative field edit sends the same email. Identify the exact edit screen before promising a silent change; the recurring-subscription designation workflow should be expected to notify the donor.
