Completing recurring setup queues its setup notification. Later installment processing uses a separate Updated notification and payment summary. This explains the general expectation of a subsequent payment update, but not two guaranteed immediate emails for every processor and outcome. Bank verification, queue timing and final completion change the sequence; investigate the actual notification records before saying a message is missing.
