Pending Authorization and campaign totals

A qualifying gift can count toward the campaign's giving total while its payment is Pending Authorization; the total is not restricted to settled payments. Pending Authorization is one of the payment states that can qualify for campaign totals. This does not mean the bank transfer has cleared or the school has received a payout. Untriggered offers, installment handling, offline amounts, campaign/tier relationships, cached totals and saved completed-campaign totals have separate rules. Investigate the actual records if a particular displayed total differs.
