Renaming a group referenced by upload hierarchy columns on a giving form

In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

Renaming a group changes that saved group, not the text in an already downloaded upload file or every similarly named group. The school designation importer resolves group1/group2/group3 by their names along the parent hierarchy. Update those columns in future files wherever the renamed group appears in that path, and preserve the correct parent-child structure. A child group’s own name is not automatically renamed when its parent is renamed. Form copies and synced groups must be distinguished before assuming the same update appears everywhere.
