This article covers gifts made through GiveCampus. Payment and recurring-gift options depend on the institution and the form.
A cardholder dispute can be won or lost. A family member having made the purchase, or the cardholder receiving a provisional bank credit, does not mean that the dispute was canceled or that the school will recover the funds.
Ask the cardholder to contact the card issuer to request withdrawal if the charge is recognized and the dispute should be dropped. Obtain written confirmation when available and share the dispute/payment identifiers with authorized Support. Monitor the processor-backed dispute status; a donor's promise to withdraw is not itself a resolved status.
GiveCampus guidance allows up to 90 days for a dispute decision; confirm the current timeline with Support for the specific dispute. This is general operational guidance, not a promise for a particular case. Reconcile the original payment, dispute, reversals and any refund separately. Do not issue another refund or promise repayment solely from the request description; the actual outcome requires processor records.
