Test email shows “Example Designation” or “None Selected”

Open Online Giving → Campaigns or Online Giving → Forms, select the campaign or form, then go to Giving Experience → Gift Confirmation Emails and select the appropriate template. In the newer editor, Save Draft stores edits, Test Changes sends a test, and Save and Publish makes the changes active. Older editors use separate save/activation controls.

The generic template test explicitly substitutes Example Designation for designation tokens. Its sample contribution is not an actual donation selecting your configured designation, so the receipt block may show None Selected. A designation being available on a form does not mean the test gift selected it. Check a real authorized test/actual gift's saved designation selections and rendered receipt before diagnosing a production mapping issue.
