Covering processing fees after a completed gift

This article covers gifts made through GiveCampus. Payment and recurring-gift options depend on the institution and the form.

There is no staff fee-only recharge action on an existing gift. Editing a recorded gift or covered-fee value does not charge the donor’s old card again. Ask the donor to make a separately authorized additional gift, or use an approved staff-assisted payment workflow with fresh authorization where available; record it as a new payment. Do not assume the original transaction can be retroactively changed to collect extra processing fees.
