Removing old groups while retaining recurring gift allocations

In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

Deleting a school designation group is different from deleting its underlying funds or canceling recurring subscriptions. The deletion removes the group and its child nodes, leaves designation selections intact, and refreshes linked synced forms; it blocks groups used by active tiered campaigns. Recurring installments copy the original gift’s designation selections rather than selecting from the current dropdown anew. Replacing a non-synced group therefore does not itself cancel or reallocate existing recurring gifts, but inspect the group’s form/tier/match references and retain the actual funds before deletion. Deleting an old group is not a migration of copied form groups or historical selections to the new synced group.
