One fund still needs designation offering enabled

In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

Do not turn off Give donors the option to designate their gift merely to hide a single choice. The editor warns that disabling it removes attached form designations; saving removes the relevant form associations and designation question where applicable. It is not a hidden-default-fund setting.

With one eligible standalone designation, the selector automatically selects it. Require donors to choose a designation is separate and prevents the only required selection from being removed in that flow. A group containing one child is not identical to one standalone designation. Preview the actual form and check a saved gift/report; updating configuration does not correct earlier blank gifts automatically.
