Receipt surname differs from the greeting or donor-entered name

In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

The tax receipt uses payer name when present and falls back to payer name. These are distinct from a greeting's merge fields. For Stripe, the payment-name helper can use the charge's card billing name or bank account-holder name before falling back to the donor-entered payer name.

Ask support to compare those exact saved payment fields for the gift and processor. Updating a CRM name, profile or greeting alone does not prove the stored payer name changed. A donor does not need to make another gift to correct a receipt. Resending alone may not change the saved payer name. Have the authorized team review the appropriate record correction and receipt after confirming the intended identity.
