In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.
How to use
Open the campaign or form from Online Giving → Campaigns or Online Giving → Forms, then choose Giving Experience → Gift Confirmation Emails and choose the email you intend to edit. Use Save Draft to keep unfinished edits. In the current editor, use Send Test Email or Test Changes, then Save and Publish to put changes into use. Older editors use Activate Email Template. A saved draft is not the active email. Campaigns also have conditional email and advocacy-email template management.
For institution-wide tax-receipt settings, use School-Level Settings → Tax Receipts. Review the actual donor email and applicable school/form configuration rather than treating every email as a tax receipt.
Troubleshooting
Editing a draft and activating it are separate actions. A test email is not a historical receipt resend. Verify which template is active and which conditions applied to the gift before diagnosing an unexpected message.
Why does an email preview still show last year's campaign name?
If you cloned a campaign and the donor email's inbox preview or mobile preview shows the old campaign name, check the alternative text (alt text) of the first image in the confirmation email as well as the subject and message body. Some email clients can include that image text in their preview. This is one possible source of the old wording, not proof that the campaign name failed to save.
Open the current campaign's Giving Experience → Gift Confirmation Emails, choose the relevant template and edit its message. In the legacy image editor, review the image's Alt text for screen readers and replace outdated wording with an accurate description. If using the HTML/source view, the text is the image's alt attribute. Save the edit, send a test to the affected email client, and activate the corrected template if it is still a draft.
Keep useful descriptive alternative text for accessibility. Changing the current template does not rewrite emails already sent, and inbox preview behavior can differ between email clients.
