Autofilling an ordinary dropdown option on a giving form

In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

For an ordinary custom dropdown, choose its field in the autofill-link builder and enter the exact saved option value. The ordinary custom select uses the field’s saved dropdown choices, and URL autofill matches the option value exactly, including capitalization and spacing; it is not an arbitrary numbered code. Use the option text when that is the saved value, generate the link so special characters are encoded, and test it before sharing. Designations and affiliation selectors have specialized rules, so do not apply this ordinary-dropdown rule to those fields.
