Correct an In Honor Of or custom tribute response

These steps are for administrators with permission to manage gifts.

An authorized gift administrator can open the existing donation and edit the exposed In Honor Of field under Additional Information, then save and verify the record. The editable tribute field depends on the form and school configuration. Other memorial/message questions may be separate custom responses, so identify the actual field rather than assuming every tribute uses the same storage.

If the field is absent, have support check the original form configuration and saved response. A record correction does not itself establish that a prior notification or an already-exported CRM value has changed; review those separately when relevant.
