Enable native anonymous checkbox on giving forms

In the current form builder use the native Anonymous standard field, not a custom checkbox with the same label, so the gift’s anonymous attribute is set. On older standalone forms, its visibility depends on a school-level setting that Support may need to configure. Sandbox and production are separate configurations: enable/review the native control in each and test a gift’s exported anonymous value in the integration.

Use the native Anonymous/Please do not display my name control, not a generic checkbox with the same wording. In the form mappings, anonymous is a locked native field and is not offered as an ordinary addable builder field; the legacy standalone form shows it only when the school’s anonymous-checkbox setting is enabled. There is therefore no universal Add Custom Checkbox procedure that turns on donor-name privacy. Identify the form version and ask Support to check the native field or school setting for that form, then preview the donor flow. Do not assume sandbox and production settings match.

Anonymous checkbox placement varies by form

Legacy donation templates can render the anonymous checkbox within a name block, so it may not appear as an independently movable field in the editor. Newer forms can use a separate anonymous standard field. Identify the form version and rendered name controls before giving placement instructions; do not assume a universal drag-and-drop move below Last Name.
