Designation name character maximum

In GiveCampus giving forms, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

A designation name has a maximum of 255 characters in the validation. Its description also has a 255-character maximum. These are separate fields; keeping a donor-facing name shorter may improve display, but that is not a different enforced name limit.
