Where Archive Event appears

In GiveCampus Events, available controls depend on your permissions and the interface used by your institution.

Open the event's overview and scroll to Other Actions. Archive Event appears only when the event can be archived. In the state machine, draft, complete and canceled events can archive; active events cannot archive directly. The action still requires authorization.

The overview describes archive as hiding both landing and registration pages. Unarchive returns the event to draft. Unpublish and Cancel have different effects and eligibility: cancel leaves a canceled landing page and does not automatically notify registrants. If the purpose is only to stop new registrations while keeping an event active, review its registration close date/settings instead of canceling it merely to make Archive appear.
