Open Online Giving → Campaigns or Online Giving → Forms, select the campaign or form, then go to Giving Experience → Form Settings & Display → Form Settings, then find the Payment Settings section.
When Inherit School-Wide Donor Covered Fee settings is checked, the form uses the school's donor-covered-fee configuration. Saving with inheritance selected removes the form's separate override; subsequent school setting changes can therefore apply to that form.
To set an eligible form independently, clear inheritance, choose whether to enable donor-covered fees for this form, and choose Opt In or Opt Out before saving. Opt In asks donors to check the coverage box themselves. Opt Out starts with that box checked and allows donors to clear it. Review the donor form after saving. These choices concern donor coverage, not a change to the school's contracted processing rate.
The override flow depends on the school’s configuration and excludes membership forms. For a Giving Form, eligible overrides are available to Basic Form Admin or Advanced Form Admin with access to that form, and to Finance Admin, School-Level Settings Admin, Fundraising Superadmin or Superadmin through school financial access. Campaign form settings use Advanced Campaign Admin or Crowdfunding Admin with campaign access, or the same financial/superadmin roles. Partners cannot toggle a separate fee-management permission inside a role. A missing control is not proof that fees are disabled. Ask an authorized settings administrator to inspect the effective school/form configuration.
The school-wide setting is under Online Giving → School-Level Settings → Donation Form → Donor Covered Fees. A form-specific override takes precedence over the school setting. Saving an inherited setting restores the school default; it does not mean fees are waived. Fee coverage remains optional in both Opt In and Opt Out modes.
